What are the effects of skipping a dose of Cialis® (tadalafil)?
Clinical trials of tadalafil for the once daily treatment of ED and/or signs and symptoms of BPH did not study the effect of skipping doses.
Impact of missed dose on efficacy
Tadalafil dosed once daily has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of
-
erectile dysfunction (ED)
-
the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and
-
both ED and the signs and symptoms of BPH.1
Once-daily dosing allows the achievement of steady-state plasma concentration, and clinical efficacy was assessed following daily dosing. 1
The impact of a missed day of therapy has not been studied, but impact on efficacy is likely to vary by patient. Some patients may notice reduced efficacy from missing a single dose while others may not.
