Trulicity ® (dulaglutide)

Trulicity® (dulaglutide): Air bubbles in the dulaglutide pen

Air bubbles in the dulaglutide pen are normal. They will not cause harm or affect the dose.

Background information

Dulaglutide is to be injected subcutaneously under the skin into the fat tissue layer (subcutaneous injection).1

Small air bubbles are not a problem in this type of injection.2

Injecting air bubbles is more of a safety concern when medicines need to be injected into a vein (intravenous administration).2
