Storage conditions

  • Store ixekizumab in a refrigerator (2 ºC – 8 ºC).
  • Do not freeze.
  • Store in the original package to protect it from light. 2

For patients only:

Ixekizumab may be stored unrefrigerated for up to 5 days at a temperature below 30º C.2

The allowable room temperature storage time may be one single 5-day exposure or can be broken up into multiple exposures. There is no limit to the number of room temperature exposures as long as the total time does not exceed 5 days (120 hours) for each individual device.1

  • The screening equipment used at airports (X-rays) is not known to affect ixekizumab.1

Travel cooler bags

Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) does not provide cooler bags to travel with Ixekizumab. Patients can refer to their pharmacist about finding a suitable product. Lilly does not test, market or sell these products; therefore, we cannot recommend any of them.1

When using a cooler bag, the device should not be in direct contact with ice, frozen gel packs or freezing temperatures (0°C or below). In addition, protect the medicine from light and freezing temperatures.1
